We’ve captured weddings everywhere from Ballarat to Bendigo, Geelong, Melbourne, Warrnambool, Mornington Peninsula, Echuca-Moama, the Grampians, Wye River, Anglesea, Horsham, Hamilton, and all over regional Victoria.

We do not charge any travel fees for weddings in Victoria!

Our Approach — You’ll love our relaxed, guided-documentary approach. We focus on genuine moments over forced ones. We know when to step in with some light direction, and when to simply let the momemt breathe.

All-in-One — If you choose both photography and videography, you’ll have the added advantage of a photo + video team that already knows how to work seamlessly together! It also means one less supplier to coordinate throughout your planning.

While we'll work with your personlised timeline and specific requests, here's what we're typically doing throughout the day:

Through it all, we’re constantly looking for the candid moments happening around you—the laughs, reactions, hugs and little interactions you might not even notice on the day.

Getting Ready

When we arrive, we'll usually start with some of the little details you’ve put so much thought into (e.g. your dress or suit, rings, shoes, flowers, invitations and anything else meaningful).

From there, we’ll capture everyone getting ready, whether that’s popping some champagne in your robes, the guys suiting up, or your bridesmaids helping with the finishing touches.

Once everyone’s suited up, this is also a great time to grab a few portraits for the mantelpiece before we head off!

Note: We cover one getting-ready location at a time (e.g. groom then bride).

Ceremony

We’ll arrive at your ceremony around an hour before it starts, giving us plenty of time to get everything set up (cameras and audio), capture the details and atmosphere, and be ready for your arrival.

During the ceremony, we’ll discreetly move around to cover everything from multiple angles without getting in the way.

After the ceremony, we’ll hang back and capture all the hugs, kisses and congratulations!

If you’d like a big group photo, this is usually the ideal time for it.

Portraits

From there, we’ll usually move into family, bridal party, and couple portraits. We keep family photos organised and relatively quick, have a bit more fun with the bridal party, then give you some time together for your couple portraits—with a few prompts to bring out those genuine moments!

Reception

Once we arrive at your reception, we’ll get set up to capture your formalities—from your reception entrance and your speeches to the cake cutting, bouqet toss, first dance and any other surprises or events you've planned!

Around sunset, we might steal you away for a few more photos and videos, giving you a different look and feel from your earlier portraits!

Once the dance floor opens, we’re right in there with you capturing all the chaos!

After booking, you'll receive our detailed sample wedding timeline guide to help make the most of your coverage.

Don’t worry, this is super common! Most of our couples don’t have much experience in front of the camera. We'll help you feel relaxed, with our prompts and direction designed to bring out genuine moments, interaction, and lots of laughter!

Yes! If you book both photography + videography, you’ll have Dan and his partner, Rachael, there to capture your day together. Having two of us allows us to capture both photography and videography seamlessly, without compromising either.

We recommend booking at least 12 months in advance for the best chance of availability.

However, we can also accomodate shorter timeframes (subject to availability).

While we don’t require a meeting, we’re more than happy to have a chat and answer any questions you might have!

We've designed our whole process to be as simple as possible. You can check our live availability, view pricing and book online without waiting around for quotes or meetings.

Once booked, your completed questionnaire and wedding day timeline give us everything we need to prepare for the day.

Of course, we're always here if you need some extra help along the way!

Absolutely! You’ll have the option to make changes up until your wedding day—so don’t worry if you’re not 100% sure what you need yet.

Just keep in mind that some options require a little extra planning (eg. adding videography to your photography package) and certain upgrades may not be available once editing begins.

We source the music for your wedding film from premium licensing sites like MusicBed.com. You’re welcome to browse this site and send us the link to anything you like!

However, most couples prefer to leave this step up to us so that we can pick something that best suits your footage, overall vibe of the day, and the vision for your edit.

Typically, one slower romantic song works best for your vows and the first half of the film, followed by something fun and upbeat for the celebrations.

If requested, we’re also happy to include some black & white images for you.

Absolutely! When you complete our questionnaire, you’ll have the option to let us know whether you’re happy for us to share your photos and videos on our website, social media, and other promotional channels.

While it’s super valuable for us to be able to promote our work, if you’d prefer to keep your day private, that’s completely okay too!

While it hasn't happened before, we have an awesome network of vendor friends that we can call upon in an emergency.

We also carry back-up equipment for extra peace-of-mind.

Yes! We shoot on dual SD cards and back up your photos / videos across multiple locations after your wedding.

Rain won’t stop us! We’ve captured plenty of rainy weddings and we’ll adapt to whatever the weather throws at us. We can make the most of any breaks in the weather, or grab the umbrellas and embrace the rain, beautiful soft lighting and all!

Yes! We're fully insured, including Public Liability and Equipment Insurance.

Unfortunately, we do not edit work captured by other photographers or videographers.
